Privacy Policy
Last updated: 30 October 2026
This Privacy Policy explains what personal data ReadyChat (“we”, “us”) collects and how we use it when you visit readychat.si, contact us, buy a plan, or use the ReadyChat plugin and activation service.
1. Who is responsible for your data
For visitors to this website and for our customers, we are the controller of the personal data described in sections 2 and 3. When a website owner installs ReadyChat on their own website, that website owner is the controller of the data their visitors enter into the chat, and we process that data on their behalf to provide the Service (section 4).
2. Data we collect on this website
- Enquiries. If you use our “Get ReadyChat” form, we collect your name, email address, website (optional), the plan you chose and your message. This is saved in our WordPress site and emailed to us so that we can reply.
- Orders. If you buy a plan, our store collects the details needed to process the order, such as your name, billing details, email address and the plan purchased. Payments are handled by our payment provider; we do not store your full card number.
- Cookies and technical data. We use cookies required for the store to work (for example to remember your cart) and standard technical data such as IP address and browser type, which our web server records for security and operation.
3. Data from customers using the plugin
When a website uses the ReadyChat plugin, the activation service receives and stores:
- the website’s domain name and the private site key issued to it;
- the plan, allowance and the number of conversations used, with dates;
- usage counts for each conversation, including the amount of AI processing used.
4. Chat data processed for website owners
When a visitor chats on a website that uses ReadyChat, the plugin sends the visitor’s message, the recent conversation and instructions set by the website owner to the activation service, which forwards them to an AI provider to produce a reply. Depending on how the website owner has configured the chatbot, the visitor may also be asked for a name, mobile number and email address before chatting. The activation service can keep a short log of each question and reply, together with the visitor’s name and email when they were provided, and a session identifier, so that website owners can review activity and so that we can provide support and prevent misuse. Logged questions and replies are shortened to a few hundred characters.
5. How we use data
- to provide, operate and secure the Service, count usage and apply plan limits;
- to answer enquiries, take and fulfil orders and give support;
- to prevent abuse, fraud and security incidents;
- to meet legal, tax and accounting obligations.
Depending on the situation, our legal bases are performing a contract with you, our legitimate interests in running and protecting the Service, your consent where we ask for it, and legal obligations. We do not sell personal data.
6. Who we share data with
- AI providers. Chat messages are sent to the AI provider configured for the Service (for example OpenRouter or a model provider such as Groq, OpenAI, Google or Anthropic) to generate replies. These providers process the data under their own terms and privacy policies.
- Payment and store providers. Our payment provider and the WooCommerce store software process payment and order information.
- Hosting and email providers that run our servers and send our emails.
- Authorities where the law requires it.
Some of these providers may be located outside your country. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards for international transfers.
7. How long we keep data
We keep data only for as long as needed for the purposes above. Enquiries are kept for as long as needed to deal with them and for our business records. Order and tax records are kept for the period the law requires. Domain registration, usage records and chat logs are kept while a website uses the Service and are deleted or anonymised on request or when no longer needed.
8. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access your personal data, correct it, have it deleted, restrict or object to its use, receive a copy of it in a portable format, and withdraw consent at any time. You also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority. If you chatted on another company’s website, please contact that website owner first, as they control that data. To exercise your rights with us, contact us as described in section 11.
9. Security
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal data, including a private site key per website and secure connections. No system is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
10. Children
The Service is not directed at children under 16 and we do not knowingly collect their personal data. If you think a child has given us personal data, contact us and we will delete it.
11. Contact and changes
To ask a question or make a request about your personal data, please use the “Get ReadyChat” form on readychat.si. We may update this policy from time to time; the date at the top shows when it was last changed.
